Our research approaches the study of insect diversity through an integrated approach combing integrative taxonomy, with comparative studies at large taxonomic and geographic scale, in order to investigate the distribution patterns of species and their genetic lineages.

We are also strongly committed to biodiversity conservation, focusing especially on pollinator populations. In this aim, we participate in several monitoring schemes and we make extensive use of citizen science. We mainly focus on National Parks of Central and Southern Italy.
